Municipality of Eindhoven

In 2023, the municipality of Eindhoven started a pilot in the ecological district of Buurtschap Te Veld, in which four EV charging light poles were installed. In addition, the central access road, the Boschdijk, was equipped with 17 CityCharge EV charging light poles as part of a complete makeover, which were installed in June. Aluminum light poles from Nedal were chosen for this project. There are currently 38 active charging points in this configuration. Eindhoven is also integrating this technology into its public lighting at several locations.

The charging light poles are centrally powered from a single grid connection, which is interconnected. Load-balancing is standard in this rollout, so that connected cars get all available capacity and can leave quickly charged.
