CityCharge is expanding its international footprint to France. In collaboration with the Hauts-de-France region and grid operator SE60, the first innovative charging plaza was officially opened on March 6. This project paves the way for a large-scale rollout in Northern France.
After intensive preparation of 12 months with partners such as the RVO and the Dutch Embassy in Paris, the city of Beauvais is the first French location to use CityCharge technology. The opening was officially performed by Eric Guerin (President SE60) and Chanez Herbanne (Councillor for the Hauts-de-France Region).
Integration with ‘PassPass’: Users can now charge their electric vehicle with the well-known mobility pass that is also used for the bus, tram, and metro in Northern France.
Smart use of space: The distinctive CityCharge charging light poles were chosen, allowing charging infrastructure and street lighting to come together seamlessly.
Strategic partnership: With this opening, CityCharge acts as a preferred supplier for over 6,000 municipalities in the region.
This step not only marks our entry into the French market, but also proves that our integrated charging solutions perfectly align with European ambitions for smart urban mobility.
“With CityCharge, charging is effortless and worry-free. That’s how it should be.”
